Zeroids, Robots from Space! Relaunches for 2008

Captain Action Enterprises, LLC is proud to announce their plans to relaunch The Zeroids, the popular 60s robot toys.

Like our Captain Action property, the Zeroids were also manufactured by Ideal. Billed as “robots from space,” these toys were successful for several years, buoyed by a national TV and print advertising campaign.

“We’ve just started, but having received phenomenal interest with our first relaunched line, Captain Action, we’re ready to do it all over again with Zeroids!” exclaimed Joe Ahearn of Captain Action Enterprises, LLC.

The Zeroids, introduced in 1968, were three battery-operated robots with the ability to build, construct and destroy. The line was modified and expanded over several years.

The Zeroids predate Transformers and Micronauts, but has all the elements of a successful series. Initially, we’ll start remarketing the line with apparel and items sold online, and we’re proud to announce we’ve signed with Moonstone Books again to produce Zeroids comics”, said Captain Action partner Ed Catto.

Publishing plans call for both a standard series in late 2008, and an all ages series in Q1 of 2009.

“We’re ecstatic to work with Ed and on again on Zeroids, and are looking for another successful partnership” said Moonstone Publisher Joe Gentile.

Zeroids teaser cards will be available at Comic-con International in San Diego and more plans wil be released in the coming weeks.
